Short courses at Wentworth Castle

The Northern College is a residential college for adults housed in the in the splendid setting of Wentworth Castle. It is surrounded by breath-taking countryside, just 5 minutes drive away from Barnsley town centre in the village of Stainborough.

Over the past few years the campus has undergone many modernisation programmes yet it has still managed to retain its heritage by blending the old with the new magnificently.

The College boasts the following facilities on site; 100+ student bedrooms, coffee lounge, dining hall, student bar and a fully equipped Library and Learning Resource Centre.

We have courses to suit everyone from Short and Evening courses to a 9 month Access to HE Diploma.
