Missenden Abbey

Missenden Abbey is situated in the picturesque village of Great Missenden in a fold of the Chiltern Hills, 30 miles northwest of London on the A413, with easy rail and motorway links and the M40 and M25 twenty minutes away. Missenden Abbey is just a seven-minute walk from Great Missenden railway station with regular connections to London Marylebone on the Chiltern Line.

The Abbey offers well-appointed syndicate and lecture rooms with broadband internet connection and air conditioning, a bar and a beautiful garden room. Additionally, the Abbey has two art studios and a fully equipped dark room for photography.

Accommodation

Is in single study bedrooms with 4ft beds, all with en-suite shower room, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, TV and Sky TV, radio, tea/coffee making facilities and free broadband internet connection.

Smoking

Missenden Abbey is totally non-smoking.

Meals

Good food and friendly service are an important aspect of Missenden Abbey. Lunchtime at the Abbey offers a full buffet of hot and cold choices, with interesting salads, desserts, fruit or yoghurts, and coffee. Dinner consists of a three-course meal and coffee.

Special diets

Vegetarian options are readily available at Missenden Abbey. However, please inform us in writing at the time of booking of any specific medical diets. You will then be advised as to whether we are able to accommodate your requirements.

Non-resident learners on weekend courses will be able to book and pay for their meals at the Abbey reception at the start of their course, subject to availability. Meal cost for Non-Residential learners is £14.20 at Weekends and £14.60 at Summer School.

Learners on Saturday courses will have the option of booking lunch at the time of enrolling on the course.

Non-resident learners also have the option of bringing packed lunches. Please note that these are not to be consumed in the dining room.
