MISSION STATEMENT
The overall purpose of the Culture and Learning Service is to provide high quality opportunities that:
  • Improve skills and life chances
  • Inspire and enrich lives
  • Are accessible and relevant to all sectors of the community
EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES
Buckinghamshire Adult Learning aims to ensure that everyone who wants to learn is able to and that no one is excluded on the grounds of disability, gender, age, religious beliefs, ethnicity, sexual orientation or culture. We welcome learners with disabilities and will do our best to ensure that appropriate support is available. Our policy can be found on our website (www.adultlearningbcc.ac.uk) or in our centres. We use our enrolment form to monitor the effectiveness of this policy.
DISABLED FACILITIES
Courses are sited on different levels and locations, so it is essential that you discuss your course and accommodation with us before booking if you have a mobility problem, or if you need disabled parking facilities and help on arrival. Most Lecture Rooms are now fitted with integral systems to help learners with hearing difficulties. In addition, we have necklace hearing loops if required.
SPECIAL DIETS
Vegetarian options are readily available, however, please inform us in writing at the time of booking of any specific medical diets. You will then be advised as to whether we are able to accommodate your requirements.
SPECIAL REQUESTS
If you have any special requests that would add to the enjoyment of your stay, please advise us in writing at the time of booking. Whether it is arranging for your friend to be accommodated in an adjacent room or asking for a vegetarian diet to be provided, we will try to fulfil your request if at all possible.
TRANSPORT
If you require a taxi, please book directly with Kingshill Cars on 01494 862782. Email: bookings@kingshillcars.co.uk

When accommodation is fully booked at Missenden Abbey, we hope that you will consider the option of staying in local Bed & Breakfast.
